Hypnotherapist Richard Nongard Hypnotizes a Half-Million People Over the Internet
YouTube video reaches 500,000 people and guides them into a state of self-hypnosis. Hypnosis Instructor Richard Nongard explains its success and the power of hypnosis.
TULSA, OK, February 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Internet has proven to be a boon for hypnosis education and those wanting to experience self-hypnosis, with one video on the subject garnering almost a half-million hits. In the video, hypnotist Richard Nongard guides viewers into a brief trance state that allows participants to learn firsthand what it is like to be hypnotized. The video often has top ranking in the YouTube search engine, and can be found at www.youtube.com/clinicalhypnosis on the internet.
In a recent discussion, Nongard stated, "Many people have been curious about hypnosis, and this video was my way of reaching the largest audience possible to show the true nature of clinical hypnosis." Nongard calls hypnosis safe, comparing it to a form of meditation. "Thousands of people have commented, with dozens reporting that they view the video each day to help them relax and unwind." He also points out that many people react to this simple exercise by experiencing positive change in both their mental and physical states.
Nongard, who teaches hypnotherapy classes and hypnosis certification courses, says the success of the video is due to three things. First, most people have an inherent curiosity about hypnosis, and second, this particular video demonstrates the ease with which you can experience hypnosis. "Everyone has the capacity to be hypnotized," says Nongard. "Hypnosis is a natural state we enter each day, even without a hypnotist or self-hypnosis video." He believes the third reason people are attracted to the video is that it presents hypnosis as a serious skill, rather than as something mystical or out of the ordinary.
According to Nongard, self-hypnosis is easy to learn, and his website offers many hypnosis sessions for instant download on specific issues, such as smoking cessation or anxiety management. He even offers one audio download focusing on overcoming lost love, which has proven to be very popular. His website at www.SubliminalScience.com also has links to information about how to hypnotize anyone, or even train to earn hypnosis certification.
Nongard says a lot of people contact him because they want to learn how to hypnotize other people. For many it starts out as a curiosity or hobby, but quite a few go on to use these skills to help others professionally. "The hypnosis business is booming," he says, pointing out that during periods of economic downturn, people seek more helpful ways to quit smoking, improve life and feel better, and hypnosis is a proven method for accomplishing these goals. His company offers regular hypnosis certification classes, and many of his training programs are available on DVD.
Richard Nongard holds advanced degrees in both hypnosis and religion, and is licensed as a marriage and family therapist. For more information about hypnosis downloads, hypnosis training, or to learn more about hypnotherapy, please visit www.subliminalscience.com or call (800) 390-9536.
