INSTRUCTIONS
FOR ALL ONLINE COURSES

Please Read through ALL of the Instructions on this page carefully - So you can understand the process and solve any technical problems.
A NOTE ON FIREWALLS AND CUSTOMERS TRYING TO ACCESS COURSE MATERIALS AT WORK:
Many corporate/agency computers and those with networks and 'always on' internet access (DSL, Cable Modem, T1, T3) have Firewalls installed to protect the computers against viruses and hackers. Unfortunately, they may also impede your ability to open/download the course materials' .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you have updated your version of Adobe (see link below) and you still have trouble accessing the course files at work, you should ask your workplace computer system administrator for help.
EASY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS
1. Your Computer SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
You must have a current version of a Free software program called Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, in order to access the course materials, as they are in a .pdf file format (this is like an online text file).

Most computers have Adobe already installed, and when you click the "Read Course" link from the online courses page, Adobe should be instantly activated and it should automatically open the course .pdf document in your browser.

If you don't have Adobe or if you have not upgraded Adobe within the past 6 months, please download a FREE updated version HERE.

Simply follow the directions on the Adobe website to download the FREE pdf. Reader program.
NOTE: The Adobe file should download pretty quickly. If it seems to be taking forever, stop the download and try it again. Sometimes their server is simply very busy, and you just have to try again.
ALSO - You do NOT need the add-ons Adobe offers, such as Browser Toolbar enhancements or Photo Albums, etc. You may UN-check those boxes, and only download the Reader file.

After downloading/installing Adobe, we recommend that you re-start your computer, before you come back to our site to access the course materials.
2. READING THE COURSE MATERIALS:
When you click the Button to Read a Course, Adobe Acrobat should be activated, and it should automatically open the course materials file, which contains the course instructions, introduction and required reading for the course.
IF you are using DSL or a Cable Modem or better connection, the file should open very quickly.

IF you are using a dial-up 56k Modem (on a regular phone line) please be patient, as it could take 1 to 5 minutes for the larger files to open. In this time it may appear that your computer is locked up or not doing anything, but it is. Really.

Once you have the course materials .pdf file open:
• You may READ the materials while you're online - just keep scrolling down through the entire document and read each page as you go.
• You may also PRINT the course to read on paper or SAVE the file to access later on your computer - from the Adobe window menu - upper left corner - File, then Print or Save, as you choose.
You can always access the materials from our website as many times as you like - for free.
3. COURSE COMPLETION AND PAYMENT:
When you are finished reading the course materials, you must complete the Evaluation of Learning Quiz, and Pay for the course - in order to receive your CEU Certificate.
ONLINE COMPLETION:
You may pay for a course with a credit/debit card and complete the Evaluation of Learning Quiz online using our secure server.
From the 'Online CE Courses' page, just click the "Quiz & Pay" button for the course you are completing and fill in the requested information.

FAX OR MAIL COMPLETION:
You may print the Evaluation Quiz and Payment forms found the end of the .pdf course file or from our website (the Quiz & Pay form page), complete them on paper, and then fax the Quiz and your card billing info - OR mail the forms and a check. Our Address and Fax Number are on the Forms and our website.
**You must score 80% on the Evaluation of Learning Quiz to receive a CEU Certificate.
Although we don't imagine anyone will fail if they actually read the materials, if you do, you may retake the Evaluation Quiz again after you read the materials more closely, and then receive a certificate. You will not be permitted to retake the Quiz more than 2 times, simply because this indicates carelessness in reading the materials. The questions are not difficult, but you will need to actually read.
Your credit card will NOT be charged until you pass the Quiz.
4. CEU CREDIT:
IF you submit your Evaluation of Learning Quiz and payment ONLINE you will receive your CEU Certificate by Email within just a few minutes, and we will also Mail a paper Certificate for your records.

IF you FAX us your Evaluation of Learning Quiz and payment, we will fax back your Certificate and send a hard copy via smail-mail, if you provide a day-time fax number as soon as possible. Faxes received late in the day or after business hours will be processed the next business morning.
Business Hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, Central Time.

IF you snail-mail a check and your Evaluation of Learning Quiz, you will receive a hard copy of your Certificate via snail-mail.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING:
If the following attempts fail and you still have questions or problems, please call our office at (800) 390-9536.
BILLING / PROCESSING ERROR QUESTIONS
I completed a Quiz Online, but I have not received my Email Certificate. What's the problem?
- CE Certificates are sent to the Email address you provided on the quiz/payment form. We will also mail you a paper copy.
- IF you do not receive your email CEU certificate within just a few minutes, please check your email's Spam/Bulk/Junk mail folder.
- If you still do not receive your email certificate, please contact our office at (800) 390-9536 and we will be more than happy to assist you.
- Most likely, you just accidentally typo'd your email address, causing it not to be deliverable to you -- or your email server has rejected it as Spam without giving you the option to accept it. This happens frequently with government servers.

I received a "Fraud" Warning after submitting an Online course quiz and payment. What does that mean?
- This means that you have 'double clicked' the submit button on the payment form, and the card processing company is stopping you from being double charged.
- We hate it that they use the term "fraud" when they do this - but that is not something we can control.
- BEFORE YOU RESUBMIT - Please check your email for your CE Certificate notification. If you hit the Submit Form button again, you WILL be charged again.
- If your Certificate success notification is not in your email, please check your Spam/Bulk/Junk mail folder.
- If you fear you have been double charged, please contact us by email or phone, and we will refund any unnecessary charges.

I received an Error after submitting an Online payment form. What do I do?
- BEFORE YOU RESUBMIT - Please check your email for your CE Certificate. If you hit the Submit Form button again, you may be charged again.
- If your Certificate success notification is not in your email, please check your Spam/Bulk/Junk mail folder.
- If you do not find a certificate email, please contact us by phone or email and we will check our system to determine the status of your quiz and payment.

Are your Online Payment & Quiz Forms really Secure?
- Yes! Our payment forms are handled by a prominent internet security company: NetworkSolutions.com and GoDaddy.com. All data is sent only through secure server lines directly to our office.
- If you're still nervous about online security, please feel free to call our office or fax or mail your payment and quiz.

What do you do with my personal information?
- We do Nothing with your info! We only ask for and maintain the personal information that we need in order to process your payment and continuing education credits. We hate junk mail and unsolicited phone calls and faxes as much as you do - so we do not ever give out any of your information to anyone.
- As a customer of PeachTree, we may periodically use the email address you provide to notify you of our current promotions and special discounts. But this is an opt-in/out program, and you can easily remove yourself from our e-mailing list at any time.

ONLINE COURSE QUESTIONS
How long does it take to complete a CEU course?
- Whether it's an Online Text, Audio or Video course, a 3 Credit Hour course is designed to take approximately 3 Clock Hours to complete - just as if you were in a 3-Hour Live CEU workshop. The same time concept applies to our 1.5, 6, 8 etc hour courses.
- It's true that some people do absorb and process information more quickly or more slowly than others, and so there may be some variation of time from person to person ~ but NBCC and NAADAC have strict content length and format standards for approved CE courses, and ALL of our courses meet these required standards.
- NOTE: If you take a 6-, 10-, 20-hour course from another CEU provider, and it only takes you an hour or so to fully complete it (to read or listen or watch the course content and complete the exam), then that provider is violating NBCC and NAADAC required standards, and may soon find themselves in trouble with their regulatory approval Boards, and you may find that your credits are subsequently rejected by your Board.

How Fast is FAST CEUs ?
- If you submit a course quiz Online, you should receive your CEU Certificate almost immediately by email.
- If you submit an Online or Homestudy Quiz by
Fax (888) 877-6020, you should receive an CEU Certificate by email or fax within approximately 4 business hours.
- We will also put a paper copy in the mail.
- Course Quizzes may be submitted online or by fax 24 hours a day. Our fax line is secure, as are the online quiz forms.
- Regular Business Hours are M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm, CST.
- Faxed Quizzes submitted late in the day or after hours may be processed the next business morning.

I'm not very computer literate, and I've never taken an Online course - Is it really Easy?
- Yes! We've specifically designed our site to be as simple to use as possible.
- There are no passwords or pin# hassles, and you don't need to pre-register.
- You can access our Online course materials as often as you like - and even print them - for free - and you don't need to pay until you're done and ready for CEU Credit.
- Simply click the "Read Course" button for the course you want to take, and read the materials.
- Then click the "Quiz & Pay" button and complete and submit the billing information and the course Quiz.
- You'll get your Certificate by email almost instantly!

I'm having trouble opening the course .pdf file. It won't open or the page is blank or has funky characters. What should I do?
- You must have a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to read the course .pdf files.
- This is a free program that most computers already have, but you might need to update yours if you haven't done so in the past few months.
- CLICK HERE to download the current version from Adobe. Follow the installation instructions (you do NOT need to download their extra photo or browser tools), and then come back to our website and click the Read Course button again.

>> REMINDER NOTE: Some government or corporate office computer network systems, firewalls, and oversensitive personal computer internet security settings or Firewalls which may occasionally cause conflict or difficulty in accessing (opening/downloading) our course materials. We have done our best to design our site to work around or avoid most of these potential problems, but sometimes there are challenges on your end, beyond our control.
